The Design
This print "Antiquities in Ireland" is taken from an 1818 engraving by the engraver C.Warren. The image appears in the publication "The Scientific Tourist through Ireland.".

The image is a composite view of seven key sites in Ireland, as promoted in the early days of tourism. Two figures in the foreground , one seated and clearly sketching.
Each of the sites is numbered and identified in the 'List of Illustrations'. They are: 1. Oratory near Killaloe; 2. Round Tower at Swords; 3. Sculptured Cross at Monasterboice; 4. Chapel, Round Tower and Cathedral, Cashel; 5. Hook Tower; 6. Giant's Causeway; 7. Mountains as they appear from Dunlow Castle, Lake of Killarney.

Each Ceramic Print is individually produced ensuring attention to detail and uniqueness - no two are exactly the same.
The images are printed and pressed one at a time onto our specially coated ceramic art tile with a printed faux crackle glaze effect. The effect gives a lovely warmth and antique character to the piece.
