The Design
This Our pen and ink wash painting of Molly Malone.
Molly Malone is the enigmatic heroine of the famous song of the same name (also known as "Cockles and Mussels" or "In Dublin's Fair City"). The song tells the tale of Molly: a young and beautiful fishmonger who sold her yield from a cart on the streets of Dublin.
Molly'  would have selected her cockles and mussels from the bounty landed at the city's quayside each morning, placed them in baskets on her barrow, and set off on her rounds. Pushing her barrow, she'd attract customers by calling aloud her produce- Cockles and Mussels.
The song’s final verse states that after dying of a fever she went on to haunt the city.

Each Ceramic Print is individually produced ensuring attention to detail and uniqueness - no two are exactly the same.
