The Design
A Visit from St. Nicholas", more commonly known as "The Night Before Christmas" and "'Twas the Night Before Christmas" from its first line, is a poem first published anonymously in 1823 and later attributed to Clement Clarke Moore, who claimed authorship in 1837.
We reproduce the poem in full here with along with an illustration from the same period. The overall design is given a effect as if printed on a vintage printing press - giving a lovely aged feel. The background has a faux light crackle glaze effect so as not to distract from the text.
The ceramic is framed in a Rustic Effect pine frame.
This item is designed as a special Christmas wall decoration. It makes a great gift to celebrate the Holiday Season.
Each Ceramic Print is individually produced ensuring attention to detail and uniqueness - no two are exactly the same.
The images are printed and pressed one at a time onto our specially coated ceramic art tile with a printed faux crackle glaze effect. The effect gives a lovely warmth and antique character to the piece.
